At Redgate Lodge Motor Group, we’re always striving to go beyond expectations — and our new YouTube series, Redgate Revamps, takes this to the next level.
This exciting project at the north east’s leading used car motor group gives customers a behind-the-scenes look at how our expert Bodyshop and valet technicians transform standard vehicles into unique, head-turning creations.
For our debut episode, we chose a customer favourite — the BMW 1 Series — and completely reimagined it into something truly spectacular.
🎨 Full Colour Change: From White to Isle of Man Green
Rather than using a wrap, we performed a complete colour transformation — a full respray in the stunning Isle of Man Green, inspired by the iconic BMW M3.
Every panel was stripped, prepped, and painted with precision. Even the door shuts, arches, and inner panels received the same factory-quality finish, making this a true full colour change, officially updated on the car’s logbook.
We added a bespoke body kit, BMW Frozen Gold alloys, black badges, and subtle tints — creating a car that’s not just standout, but one-of-one in the UK.

From the Redgate Lodge Bodyshop to our Bosch Car Service Centre, this project showcased the passion, precision, and professionalism of our entire team.
Our technicians carried out full mechanical checks and servicing, the bodyshop handled the strip and paint, and our valeting team gave it that signature Redgate shine.
This wasn’t just a project — it was a celebration of what’s possible when skilled hands and creative minds work together.
