The Outstanding Achievement Award goes to Scott Sibley, managing director of Redgate Lodge, the independent used car business located in Shiremoor, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Scott started his career in hotel management, re-trained as a chef, moving into used car retailing and created in 2010 with his wife Jane what has become an award-winning company, Redgate Lodge.

The five – star rated used car business is highly successful business with over 80% of its car sales coming within an eight-mile-radius. A quarter of the cars sold each month are from either returning customers or customer referrals.

It continues to grow. In September 2021 it completed the purchase of a new 12,000 sq ft industrial premises to use as a new Preparation Centre containing a new Bodyshop and workshop. It has a class 7 MOT lane in the workshop. And the head office was relocated to the new preparation centre, which has car storage of around 100 vehicles. Accolades Scott has collected include the 2021 Motor Trader Independent Dealer of the Year.
