Newcastle based car retailer and service department, Redgate Lodge Motor Group, has won not one, but two prestigious titles for two separate categories. They were, Used Car Dealership of the Year and Best Use of Video.
Redgate Lodge on New York Road, Shiremoor, took home the coveted “Highly Commended” titles during the Car Dealer Magazine Used Car Awards 2021 at The Brewery on 29th November in London.
A panel of judges from all parts of the UK and Motor Trade were impressed by the dealership’s use of online video. Which is designed to make life easier for used car shoppers and improve the overall purchase experience. In these videos, filmed on their bespoke ‘Diamond Stage’ photo booth turntable, had each car individually photographed and videoed highlighting the car itself along with the condition and any specification or interesting facts about the model presented. Each member of the sales team takes their time to film these videos making it a more personal experience for the consumer.
Accompanying this fantastic prize, Redgate Lodge also scooped the ‘Highly Commended’ award for Used Car Dealership of the Year over 100 Cars. Again, a fantastic achievement for the North East based dealership. Managing Director Scott Sibley had said ‘It really is a special occasion, to be recognised nationally for the hard work each department puts in. We are overjoyed to be shortlisted in this area, against such strong opposition.
The awards on the night were presented in person to Redgate Lodge Director Scott. Redgate Lodge has gone from strength to strength, starting from the doorstep, to now, with Redgate Lodge about to open another offsite preparation centre to increase stock.
The way customers choose their cars is changing with most customers having done a vast amount of research on vehicles shortlisting their own personal favourites before setting foot in the dealership. For an independent business like Redgate Lodge, they’ve cornered the market with the innovative way they use the photographs and videos to make each car stand out from the market.
